Charlotte Tilbury Beauty made history last week as the first female-founded brand to partner with Formula 1 Academy – a project created to develop and prepare female drivers for higher levels of competition. Charlotte Tilbury will use its global platform to promote the incredible female drivers of F1 Academy so that a wider audience will learn about the opportunities in sport for women.

The beauty brands mission to “empower everyone, everywhere to feel their most confident” seamlessly aligns with the F1 Academy’s commitment to empowering young women to pursue their dreams fearlessly. This shared purpose forms the foundation of their partnership, infusing every aspect with authenticity and resonance.

With 40% of Formula 1 fans being female, this collaboration is poised to reach a diverse audience of over 1.5 billion viewers, amplifying the message of empowerment and inclusivity.

“My brand was created for everyone, everywhere, and as a female-founder I’m thrilled that we’re the first ever beauty brand to support these powerhouse drivers through our partnership with the F1 Academy. We are standing proudly behind the incredible young women making waves in the fast-paced world of Formula 1”.

Throughout the F1 Academy 2024 season, Charlotte Tilbury will raise awareness of the fifteen inspiring young drivers, who are all aged 16-25. The Charlotte Tilbury car will be driven by Lola Lovinfosse, aged 18, who raced for Campos last season and claimed three podium finishes. The 18-year-old comments:

“I’m super happy and proud to be joining Charlotte Tilbury operated by Rodin Motorsport Team. I’m really looking forward for the season to start, we have worked a lot with the team. I’m ready to fight!”

Lola Lovinfosse, F1 Racing Driver

Looking ahead, the success of initiatives like Formula 1 Academy prompts the question: will other sports industries follow suit? Golf, for instance, is experiencing notable progress in promoting women’s participation and visibility, with events such as the LPGA Tour gaining prominence. Meanwhile, last weekend Arsenal Woman’s team broke another record this weekend with over 60,000 fans entering the Emirates Stadium for the Women’s Super League. This momentum towards equality in sports is reshaping the landscape of athletics and paving the way for a future where sports truly reflect human potential, irrespective of gender.
